This would have been Senator Hilary Clinton's nominating convention, if her fervent supporters had had their way. As it was, instead of accepting a nomination, the one-time presidential candidate appeared at the convention in Denver to persuade her supporters to switch their allegiance to Senator Barack Obama.

Her daughter, Chelsea Clinton, gave the introduction.

Sen. Clinton's speech showed no regrets or disappointment.

"I'm a proud supporter of Barack Obama," she said to the thousands of delegates gathered in the arena.

Some of her staunchest supporters couldn't suppress tears, because their candidate wasn't continuing on in her run for the White House.

But Colorado superdelegate, Senator Ken Salazar, says it's time for the party as a whole to rally behind Obama.

"She feels in her heart, Barack should be the next president. She wants to see a change, and so she's going to put herself out between now and November, and she's going to ask her followers to do the same," Salazar said.

One Southern Colorado alternate delegate said the only way for Clinton's supporters to forge a future, is to ally themselves with Obama.

According to Jason Degroot, "These people have been working for policies and beliefs for decades. Barack Obama's the one carrying them forward. John McCain's not carrying them forward."

Pueblo's only delegate, former sheriff Joe Torres, says he doesn't have a problem switching his pledged vote, from Clinton to Obama. "I think it's a real benefit that we can choose someone from our party," Torres says.

Patti, that mistake was ?????? Obama has lied and BSed his way through this campaign, anyone with any research available and brains can see he is an anti-american, baby killing,Muslim hoping to pump up our taxes and weaken our military while McCain/Palin both have kids in Iraq, are Prolife and concerned about fixing the econimic issues from our own country insted of tax hiking on oil. It amazes me people have fought for years to keep our country free so other people can remain to be ignorant and stupid. McCain was one of those people fighting for our freedom. Obama took off our American flag and replaced it with his own personal symbol. Obama is the image of a fat cat politician sucking the life from the people. He missed the Iran Resolution vote on terrorism and his good friend Ali Abunimah supports the destruction of Israel. He studied the Koran, was Muslim for 31 years following some loon minister and his name is freaking ARABIC. Have you forgotten 9/11 ? He will remind you.

McCain has made the worst mistake of his life. Obama and Biden don*t even need to spend that much time on the campaign anymore. They are a sure win.
