Boulder authorities say a woman is dead after the car she was driving collided with an ambulance that was responding to a call last night.
Boulder police spokeswoman Julie Brooks says the woman pulled out of a side street, turned left and crashed into the ambulance in an intersection.
The ambulance had its lights and sirens on at the time.
Brooks says authorities are investigating whether the woman saw or heard the ambulance before the crash.
She says the woman was transported to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Brooks says the driver of the ambulance also was transported to a local hospital.
His condition is unknown.
