A daring high-angle rescue in Cheyenne Canyon.
Officers from the Colorado Springs fire department rappelled over the rocks to help a stranded man down.
The 27-year-old is from out of the area, and this was his first day in southern Colorado.
He says, he wanted to experience what the area had to offer so he headed to Cheyenne Canyon.
The man's okay now.
Lieutenant James Eddy with the Colorado Springs Fire Department says, people that climb beyond ten feet without equipment could be fined up to 500-dollars.
They didn't fine the man today, since he was new to the area .
