Colorado's statewide smoking ban will not have to be revised.
A legal review yesterday found the religious rights of American Indians are protected by federal law, so smoking in off-reservation religious ceremonies will be allowed.
Any changes to the ban, which was signed into law last month, could have re-ignited the contentious battle over other exemptions.
The ban takes effect on July 1st.
