Attention new moms.

World Breastfeeding Week is celebrated August 1-7, and folks at the Pueblo City-County Health Department are celebrating any mom that has breastfed in 2008.

They're taking free photos of you and your baby as well as giving out cookies and milk.

Along with celebrating new moms with free goodies, this week the health department is educating the community on the new breastfeeding laws in Colorado.

The Workplace Accommodations For Nursing Mothers act will go into effect Thursday, August 7th, 2008.

The law will require employers to allow reasonable break time and private space for new mothers to pump or breastfeed during work.

The law also prohibits discrimination against women for breast feeding.

Colorado is the 16th state to pass legislation in support of breastfeeding at work.
