Retail gas prices across the country soared an average of nearly 17 cents in the past two weeks, according to the latest Lundberg Survey.
Analyst Trilby Lundberg says the weighted average for all three grades increased to two dollars, 69 cents a gallon by Friday.
Self-serve regular averaged two dollars, 67 cents a gallon.
Among the stations surveyed, the lowest average price in the country for regular unleaded was in Salt Lake City at two dollars, 28 cents a gallon.
The most expensive was in Honolulu, where drivers paid two dollars, 88 cents a gallon on average.
