Colorado Springs homicide investigators are investigating the deaths of two people whose bodies were found in a burning town home early Sunday morning.

The Springs Fire Department was called to a fire at the home in the 3000 block of Constitution Avenue around 1:30 Sunday morning. Fire damage to the home was minimal, leading police to believe the elderly woman and the man inside didn't die in the fire.

Police say the deaths are suspicious.

It's not yet clear exactly where in the home the fire started, or what caused it. Springs Police continues to investigate.

An autopsy will be completed on the two victims to determine how they died.

If you have any information on the fire or the deaths of the two people, you're asked to contact the Colorado Springs Police Department Major Crimes Unit at 444-7613.
