Breckenridge police have cited 49 people since November 1st for using someone else's ski pass.

Off duty police officers are donning resort issue jackets and hanging out near lift lines to catch people committing ski pass fraud this year. That includes, people who sneak pass ticket scanners and those who borrow a friend's pass. Violaters can be ticketed and fined up to $1,000.

So far this season, violators have usually been fined about $250 to $300 dollars and the passes were revoked.

The Summit County Sheriff's Office also enforces pass fraud at
Keystone and Copper Mountain resorts.
