4H Club Still Concerned About Future
About 700 kids are showing their animals over the next week as part of the 4H program at the El Paso County Fair, but they're worried it could be for the last time.

V. I really don't think a lot of people care about the young people and what they accomplish throughout the year getting ready to show their hard work. And, I'm sure they probably don't know just how much time goes into preparing for the County Fair. Little do they know, 4-H teaches our future generation about responsibility and pride. Who knows....these hard working kids will grow up, start a ranch or farm and feed the very people that want to do away with 4-H and the County Fair. If there were more programs like this for the younger generation to get involved in, maybe there would more responsible kids. People that don't understand need to go to the County Fair and see the hard work they do and then look at their faces during the judging. That in itself is worth the $7.00 admission. Who knows...you may even have some fun.

Bob, do you not realize what a big part 4-H and the fair plays in keeping children busy and teaching them responsibility!!! It would be a shame if the county fair/4-H was cut out alltogether. SAVE THE FAIR!!! I look forward to the fair every year and I pray that it will still be there when I have children old enough to participate.

I think that they should cut the county fair out all together expectually since there is not enough people to go to it to support it. No one would miss it if it wasn't there. I am currently working with the commissioners to get it take out of the budget all together.
