An autopsy is planned Friday on a person that Greeley police describe only as a young man after his body was discovered inside a Greeley apartment.

Officers responded to the apartment house about 3 p.m. Thursday and found the body. Police said it appeared the man may have been dead for several hours before the body was located.

The man's identity has not been released, nor has the cause of death.

Weld County Coroner Maria Vincent says the man's death appears to be a homicide, but authorities are awaiting official results from an autopsy scheduled for Friday morning.
