Police say two girls are in fair condition after they were caught in the line of fire in a drive-by shooting in north Denver.
Officers say 6 year old Yazmine Sandate and 14 year old Karina Padilla were playing on a back porch when two men in a gray sedan drove through an alley, firing multiple shots.
Detective Virginia Quinones says Yazmine was shot in the leg, and Karina was shot in the abdomen.
Both were transported to Children's hospital in Denver.
Quinones says it's unknown who the intended targets were or the possible motive for the shooting.
The suspects are at large Wednesday evening.
Police say they were believed to be driving a light gray, four-door Dodge Intrepid with Colorado license plates with a light blue or light green background, with the numbers 4 and 7.
