Get ready to snuff out those cigarettes.
Gov. Owens has signed legislation that prohibits smoking in most public places indoors, including bars and restaurants. Smokers can still light up in casinos, cigar bars and the smoking lounge at Denver International Airport.
The law takes effect on July first.
The bill was sponsored by Republican state Representative Mike May of Parker and Democratic Senator Dan Grossman of Denver.
Colorado is the 13th state to enact such a ban.
