Emergency Landing

Tense moments for those aboard a Continental Express flight that made an emergency landing Wednesday in Albany, New York, after losing a wheel on its landing gear.

A spokesman for Albany International Airport says Flight 2314 was traveling from Newark, New Jersey, to Albany with 37 people on board when the crew discovered the problem.

One of two wheels on the left side landing gear was lost on a runway at Newark.

Firefighters were standing by when the twin-engine regional jet landed without incident.
