Light to moderate snow showers continue this Wednesday morning with cold temperatures to start the day. Roads are *very* icy and snow packed throughout southeast Colorado... so please allow extra time for the morning drive. Throughout the midday and afternoon, we'll keep the chance of some light, fine snow showers, but expecting minor accumulations through the day. Snow looks to finally push out this evening/overnight and our warm up begins. Head over to the "Weather' tab for a full look at the forecast.
The $19 million economic stimulus package was signed by Gov. Owens Monday.
It includes stipulations to boost tourism, state agriculture and provide assistance for those out of work.
At least $10 million will go towards promoting tourism, which has suffered because of the weakened economy and the drought.
Up to $7 million will be put into re-employment for people who have lost jobs.
Owens says the state is investing in its own future and that investment will start paying dividends very shortly.
