A strong storm will leaving the state by Monday evening, but not before it wreaks havoc for commuters this morning on the first day of spring.
The storm brought nearly a foot of snow on the eastern plains Sunday.
Flights at Denver International Airport were delayed and school was canceled for students in several towns on the plains, including Bennett and Wiggins.
The Ski Train, which runs between Denver and the Winter Park resort, was stuck for about five hours last night.
The train, which normally takes about two hours to make the trip, was blocked by a separate maintenance vehicle ahead of it that derailed.
It was carrying around 700 passengers, who didn't get into Union Station until shortly before midnight.
