Colorado Springs residents are cleaning up today after strong winds knocked down trees and damaged homes over the weekend.

Some people even lost power in the Broadmoor area. One resident told KKTV the wind was so powerful that it kept her awake.

"One of our elm trees, a massive branch popped off, tore off of it and landed on the garage, took off a gutter. It was good firewood," said Elizabeth Davey.

The majority of the debris was removed by crews as of Monday evening.
