KKTV 11 News Reporter David Nancarrow arrived in Baghdad today, following a brief stay in Kuwait, where he was greeted with strong winds and blinding sandstorms. The high winds and blowing sand also have prevented uniformed personell from carrying out their daily duties. Aircraft travel has been haulted, until the weather clears up.
The down time gives soldiers an opportunity to relax before taking up the task ahead. Numerous soldiers make time to contact friends and family, some catch up on some much needed rest, and others spend time bonding with fellow soldiers by watching movies and doing other things to eat away at the down time.
