The baby born Friday in a Fort Collins fire station is doing well in Poudre Valley Hospital.

Hospital spokesman Gary Kimsey says anyone interested in adopting the infant should call the Larimer County adoption phone line at 970-498-6908.

The baby was delivered by firefighters after a woman, whose name is not being released, arrived at the station and said she wanted to give the baby up. Under Colorado's Instant Safe Haven law a mother can surrender her child to medical workers, a hospital or fire station within 72 hours of birth without being prosecuted.
