A 17-month-old girl is back home with her parents and doing fine, after being left alone inside a closed daycare center in Arapahoe County.
Now, an employee of the center is accused of misdemeanor child neglect and could face jail time.
Deputies ticketed 33-year-old Ghada Mohammed Elmasouri after she allegedly closed a Jack and Jill Learning Center on Wednesday, without checking to see if the building was empty.
The child's father called his wife after finding the doors locked just before 6:30 p.m., and notified authorities when he learned she hadn't picked up their daughter either.
Deputies looked through a back window and discovered the girl sleeping in a crib, then called an employee to unlock the building.
