It’s a happy day for many southern Colorado families.
The last group of Third Armored Cavalry regiments are returning from Iraq.
Some of them arrived Wednesday morning, other will be returning Wednesday night.
It’s a final homecoming of the regiments 5,200 soldiers.
In Iraq, the regiment was responsible for driving insurgents out of the northern town of Tal Afar and training soldiers.
