The lawyer for a man accused of punching a 16-year-old snowboarder in Steamboat Springs after the girl ran across the end of his seven-year-old daughter's skis says he'll accept a plea agreement.
Randell Berg, of Littleton, is expected to plead guilty Wednesday to misdemeanor third-degree assault for the incident on January 29th with Natalie Nichols.
His attorney, Larry Combs, says the 53-year-old will ask the judge for four days in jail, with credit for two days already served, a minimum of eight hours of anger-management counseling; and 80 hours of community service during his one-year probation.
Authorities say Berg punched Nichols several times after she accidentally knocked down his daughter. He originally was charged with assault and disorderly conduct, both misdemeanors.
