Trespassing charges against three people accused of hanging an anti-war banner from the roof of a military recruiting office have been dismissed in Colorado Springs.
Deputy City Attorney Kathy Moore said yesterday that prosecutors asked to have the charges dropped because of insufficient evidence.
Twenty-five-year-old Joseph Hatcher, 22-year-old Molly Eno and 20-year-old Ryan Walker were cited with trespassing after the banner was hung from the Armed Forces Career Center on Nov. 18.
The three denied hanging the banner that said, "End the war or start our own."
Trespassing is punishable by up to 90 days in jail and $500 in fines.
