Thirty-three-year-old Rodney Mirabal, a United employee, and his
25-year-old brother Ruben Mirabal were arrested last week in
They were indicted February 13th in part of a drug ring
investigation in Virginia.
United spokesman Chris Brathwaite says Rodney Mirabal was
suspended for 30 days from his job, which was to make sure planes
aren't overloaded and the baggage is balanced.
Some of the cocaine was shipped in suitcases Rodney Mirabal sent
on United flights to Boston, where another drug dealer met the
planes and picked up the suitcases at the baggage terminal.
