Water Restrictions Eased

Pueblo is easing a ban on lawn watering because after recent snowfall, the city's reservoirs are a little more full.

The Pueblo Board of Water Works will allow customers to water yards twice a week through March and April. By the end of April, water planners expect to have a better idea of what the supply will be from snowpack in the mountains, and they will decide whether restrictions still are needed.

The district has been living on stored water since fall because its direct flow water under the Bessemer Ditch was low last summer.
