All Breed Dog Rescue is currently caring for six dogs and puppies that are a big expense. That's because they all have medical problems from disease and abuse.
There are two dogs and four puppies. They are all feeling better and living in foster homes. One has been adopted, but the other five are looking for a family and a permanent home.
Sarah Haney is currently a foster parent for three of the puppies. One will be staying with her, but the other two are up for adoption. They are all recovering from an intestinal virus. Haney says, "Having these sick puppies has been a real challenge, but the reward of seeing them come home from the hospital is more than I could ever ask for."
There's also an 8-year-old named Diogi. He has a disease that requires a lot of blood tests and medication. Each test costs $150.
Shaca is a 3-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier that's recovering for severe abuse. She weighed about 20 pounds when she was rescued and suffered from multiple abrasions and cuts, the front of her nose had also been cut off.
The sooner these dogs are adopted, the faster the rescue can bring in more dogs.
If you're interested in adopting one of the three puppies or two dogs or would like to help with their medical bills head to the Colorado Springs All Breed Rescue website www.csabr.com.
