An analysis by the City of Aspen finance office reports this year's Winter X Games brought in more than three-point-three million dollars worth of retail sales to the resort town.
The nine-day event packed hotel rooms and filled restaurants, increasing sales by about $374,000 daily.
The report says the games, "Most notably had the single largest impact on Aspen for the month of January."
The report is based on partial data, as only 16 of 32 businesses that agreed to participate in the study have turned in their data.
The games will be held at Buttermilk until at least 2010.
