An Illinois man hurt during a weekend outing at Breckenridge Ski Resort is dead, after succumbing to massive head injuries sustained during a crash.
Authorities say 28-year-old Lee Robinson of Decatur, Illinois slammed into a tree along Peak Eight's 4 O'Clock run on Sunday.
He was transported to Swedish Medical Center in Englewood, but died Tuesday evening. Summit County Coroner Joanne Richardson says he was not wearing a helmet.
Robinson was the second person to die in less than a week after an accident at Breckenridge.
Forty-three-year-old Air Force reservist Major Stephan K.-Kajah of Monument died February 15th.
Richardson says he suffered blunt force trauma to the chest after apparently making too wide of a turn on Peak 8, and hitting a tree.
