The big freeze is here.

Expect colder than normal temperatures over the next few days.

That means icy conditions will linger, and create a hazard for many commuters.

It was a nasty drive this morning.

Investigators are at the scene of an accident on highway 24, west of Calhan.

The accident happened around 8 a.m.

It was a car versus semi.

Flight for Life was called to rush the victims to the hospital.

They are reported to be Calhan High School students.

We are told the passenger of the car was ejected, and the driver was extracted from the vehicle.

They're conditions are unknown at this time.

The driver of the semi was not seriously hurt.
