Springs police arrested 3 suspects in the burglary of Fremont Elementary School in Colorado Springs. The incident happened around 12:45 a.m. Friday morning.
The school is located on El Camino Drive near North Union and North Academy Blvds.
Springs police say the school had several windows broken out, and damage had been done to the interior walls and doors.
Officers were able to get a description of suspects from witnesses who reported the crime. Authorities were then able to located three suspects a short distance away.
One adult male, identified as 18-year-old David Ches was arrested along with a 16-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl. All three suspects are being charged with second degree burglary. Ches also faces charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
District 11 security also responded to the crime. It is unknown what the cost of the damage is at this point.
