A man who went hunting with Vice President Dick Cheney remains hospitalized this morning after being accidentally shot by Cheney.
78-year-old Harry Whittington is in stable condition at a hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas.
The accident happened Saturday at a ranch in South Texas where Whittington and the Vice President were hunting quail.
The ranch's owner says Cheney was using a 28-gauge shotgun and that Whittington was about 30 yards away when Cheney fired on a bird, hitting Whittington in the cheek, neck and chest.
