The government is recalling a crib for the second time after the death of a 19-month old baby in Oregon last month.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and the crib manufacturer Simplicity Inc. are recalling the Aspen 3 in 1 cribs with Graco logos on them.
They say the screws on the mattress can come loose, causing the mattresss to fall.
Only cribs with the wooden mattress supports and with the model number 8740KCW SC and serial number 2803 SC to 1650C are being recalled.
Consumers are asked to contact Simplicity at 1-800-784-1982 or their website simplicityforchildren.com
The sole victim of the flawed crib died January 6 after two of the mattress support slats came out. The baby suffocated after becoming trapped between the footboard and the mattress.
