A rollover accident along Interstate 25 has claimed the life of a Fountain man. The accident happened about 15 miles north of Pueblo, and closed down southbound lanes for more than an hour Sunday night.

Police have identified the victim as 32-year-old Ronald D. Tweedy Jr. of Fountain.

State Patrol says the SUV was traveling northbound when it lost control, rolling several times ejecting the driver, who wasn't wearing a seat belt.

State Troopers say the driver was taken by Flight for Life to a Colorado Springs' hospital. Troopers confirmed the man died at 9:06 p.m.

A small child, who was in a car seat, was also taken to the hospital and is expected to recover.

I'm Ron's widow. I just wanted to say thank you for everyone's support and prayers at this time. I think that when someone so young dies so unexpectantly and tragicly the world should realize that no one knows when it's their time. We should all be ready to meet the Lord at any time. Thank you.
