Seven people are dead in a shooting at a California postal facility.
The Santa Barbara County sheriff says a former employee killed six people at the facility last night before killing herself.
Deputies searching the sorting plant in Goleta (goh-LEE'-tuh) early this morning found the bodies of three victims and the female shooter.
Deputies earlier found two people dead outside the plant. Two others were located inside and taken to the hospital. One of those victims later died.
The other is listed in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the head.
The postal station is located just a few blocks from the University of California, Santa Barbara, about 100 miles northwest of Los Angeles. Authorities say more than 50 people were working at the plant at the time of the shootings.
