Dogs have led rescuers to the body of a man buried in an avalanche Monday near the Loveland Ski Area.
Rescuers found the body about 2:15 Tuesday afternoon after probing
an area search dogs had pointed out.
About 30 people had been searching for the 47-year-old snowshoer
from Ken Caryl Ranch south of Denver.
Sheriff's deputies are photographing the area and evaluating the
scene before removing the man's body.
His name has not been released.
He was snowshoeing with a friend in a horizontal descent when
the slide broke loose in two places about 3:30 Monday afternoon.
Neither man was wearing an avalanche beacon.
