Fort Carson says goodbye to another soldier Thursday afternoon. CPL Kendall Dustin Kendall died January 15, 2006 in Iraq. He was in a humvee that crashed into a tank.
CPL Kendall’s memorial service was held on the Mountain Post. Family members, friends and soldiers attended.
He was the son of missionaries. His aunt and uncle say CPL Kendall was a very religious man, who loved being in the Army.
His friends say he had a heart of gold. They remember him finding the good in anyone he met.
CPL Kendall had just been promoted as a member of a security force that protected the Brigade’s commanders. He leaves behind his parents, four sisters and brother. CPL Kendall was 21 years old.
