Two Lifetime network channels are back on the Dish Network, after a month-long absence from is lineup.

EchoStar Communications Corporation and Lifetime Entertainment Services settled their dispute today amid protests from women's groups.

Details of the multiyear agreement weren't disclosed.

The two parent companies have been at odds over the programming fees EchoStar pays to carry the channels on its Dish Network.

EchoStar, the nation's second-largest satellite TV provider with about 12 (m) million customers, pulled Lifetime and the Lifetime Movie Network on New Year's Eve.

Four dozen women's organizations say women viewers rely on the channels for information about critical issues such as abuse, breast cancer and teen pregnancies. Protests were held in Denver and several cities.
