More Lawsuits Filed Against Archdiocese of Denver

Four more lawsuits have been filed against the Archdiocese of Denver. They also name Harold Robert White as a defendant.

Randy Becker and three other men allege they were abused as boys by White. They also allege the archdiocese is responsible because it hid the priest's behavior since the early 1960s and did nothing to stop it, aside from transferring him to different parishes.

The men join 22 others who have accused White of sexual abuse.

Archdiocese attorney Charles Goldberg says the four cases will likely be consolidated. He also says the church will seek to move the cases from Denver District Court to federal court because the issues involve the First Amendment.

White was ordained on June 4, 1960.
