Fort Carson Soldier Dies in Iraq

Another soldier stationed at Fort Carson has been killed in Iraq.

The Department of Defense says that Army Specialist Dustin L- Kendall was killed on Sunday when his Humvee accidentally struck a tank and rolled in Baqubah, located northwest of Baghdad.

Military officials say his death is under investigation.

According to an Associated Press count, as of Tuesday, at least 2,220 members of the U.S. military have died since the beginning of the Iraq war in March 2003.

According to the military's numbers, at least one-thousand-741 have died as a result hostile action, including six military civilians.
