Colorado Springs Police are trying to find the mother of a baby girl abandoned at a local motel.
Authorities say a man asked a couple staying at the Capri Motel late Wednesday to watch his girlfriend's baby for an hour. The man then asked if he could borrow the couple's car.
The couple called 9-1-1 when no one returned for the baby 13 hours later.
The man, identified as the mother's boyfriend, was arrested on Friday. The mother is wanted on several outstanding warrants, but so far, is not in custody.
The infant was taken to a Colorado Springs hospital and is now in the custody of the El Paso County Department of Human Services.
