Overnight a disturbance passes through parts of S Colorado... this will bring a push of moisture falling as rain in the Plains with a few late night/early morning showers possible in Pueblo. For the Palmer Divide, N & W El Paso Co. and Teller Co. it will fall as snow... bringing a few additional inches of accumulation in mainly between 1am and 6am, lingering into the mid morning. Winds also pick up overnight with gusts into the 40s, the winds look to continue across much of S Colo. through the day Sunday.... head over to the "Weather" tab for more information.
The Bureau of Land Management will hold a series of meetings starting Tuesday on the artist Christo's plan to drape Arkansas River west of Canon City with fabric.
Christo's project is called "Over the River" and would put fabric over about seven miles of the river. He needs permission from the BLM to pull it off.
Some say the project would be hard on wildlife and would attract more visitors than area roads can handle safely.
The first meeting is tomorrow at Holy Cross Abbey Community Events Center in Canon City.
Meetings are also planned Wednesday at Cotopaxi High School in Cotopaxi and Thursday at the Senior Citizens Center in Salida.
All of the meetings start at 6 p.m.
