AFA Investigation

Ttwo U.S. Senators have asked the Pentagon to look into a complaint
that the Air Force Academy didn't thoroughly investigate a female
cadet's alleged rape.

A Denver TV station obtained letters from Colorado Senator Wayne
Allard and Virginia Senator John Warner to Air Force officials
requesting the investigation.

Warner's letter says there may be other cases in which the
academy didn't respond appropriately to reports of sexual offenses.

An Academy spokeswoman told K-M-G-H that the school takes each
complaint seriously.

Academy officials didn't return a call to The Associated Press
last night.
