To Marie below , I disagree, it is probably the Sherriff. Most of these guys are C.S.P.D. dropouts and were not accepted by other agencies, so, they decided to come up the pass and work for 'Billy Bob' himself. Although I have to admit he 'the real Sherriff' is doing a good job cleaning up the image of T-County and holding his deputies to a higher standard than others have in the past. I even believe they are now spelling "Suspect" correctly, as before on a couple of occasions it was spelt s-u-s-p-e-k-t.

I'm not happy with the lack of local coverage about the Nash Ranch Fire. My parents have evacuated their home and have little to no information about the status of the fire, let alone the info about their home and neighbors homes. I've been trying to be as informed as possible and have provided as much or more info than has been available to them locally. These residents rely on your information and are lacking without it. Please try to be more forthcoming with as much coverage as possible.

News just came in from neighbors that all residents except those living on Cherokee will be allowed to return Sunday. Officials are asking that people not bring their animals back until Monday. A great big thank you to all of the brave firefighters who have worked so hard over the past few days.

After watching the 5:30 News Saturday, I understand why there is no update here. Both newscasters stumbled so badly through the story that I still didn't know what was going on after they finished. So I guess they weren't sure themselves.

So we know what was happening on Friday. But what about today? Is the fire out, or has the whole county been wiped off the map? It would sure be nice to have an update.

I can't understand why this isn't on the news. We hear about the 2 fires in California, but not the one nearby. Looks like the sheriff isn't the only one "not on the job"!

To "Sherriff": looks like YOU were sleeping in grade school, according to your grammar and spelling errors in your post. The real sheriff wouldn't have posted such snotty remarks about these people. They're just trying to get information about family and property.

My only question is why did the Guffey fire department tell 4-Mile not to help with the fire on Tuesday when they were on the way there. As to Posted by: Sherriff Location: Cripple Creek how did you make Sheriff by posting a remark about the map and grade school. We are all very glad to get the help we are get and working together.

Firefighters are doinga great job guiding the fire around structures. Lots of smoke, flmes, and planes today! Perhaps some you people should learn how to read a map. Guess you were sleeping in grade school.

The latest estimate I have heard since they released the 30-50% contained estimate. They are now saying it is 10-15% contained. The fire I have heard started to the west(On Nash ranch) of the big hill on apache and burned to the south toward cherokee.

Thank you for interviewing our mother Connie. We called last night and she said, they were packing up. Then late last night, she called and said they had to leave. It was great seeing her on the news tonight. Glad she is doing well. Thank you for taking that time to show her. It meant a lot to us. Keep up the good work. You have always been the better coverage of all the news. Thank you.
