Colorado Senator Ben Nighthorse Campbell says the U.S. Olympic Committee's chief executive should follow the lead of its president.

Campbell wants Lloyd Ward to step down from his post just as Marty Mankamyer did.

The Republican lawmaker says Ward told a Senate committee last week he would quit if Mankamyer did.

Campbell says he won't officially call for Ward's resignation, but he says now that Mankamyer is gone, Ward should leave.

Campbell is one of five senators investigating turmoil within the committee.

The USOC has had four presidents and CEOs since 2000.
