All members of an air ambulance company that deployed to Iraq are now back home at Fort Carson.
While the 571st lost seven soldiers during its last tour, this time it didn't suffer any accidents or injuries. This time it worked to rescue wounded troops in Al Anbar province, which includes the restive towns of Ramadi and Falluja.
While most units get at least a year home before returning to war, the big demand for helicopter ambulance units means the 571st could return to war in nine months. After that, the company will be move to Fort Hood in Texas.
