After miraculously surviving a roadside bomb in Iraq, Air Force Tech Sergeant Jamie Dana wants her partner to hang up his badge and become a civilian.
Her companion is a bomb sniffing German Shepherd and the two have been together for the past three years.
But, by law, an airman can't take a combat dog home until the animal retires.
Now, Congress is going to decide whether or not Dana can adopt Rex.
The decision should happen in the next few days.
