Why The Video Looks Shaky (Don Ward)

El Paso County will soon be housing inmates in a temporary facility. Last night, county comissioners awarded a $73,000 contract to build a 12,000 square foot metal building just south of the Criminal Justice Center.
Construction on the temporary quarters will begin in March and inmates would move in by June.
El Paso County's jail population is usually more than 1,100, but the county's jail capacity is just 1,041.
The original plans for this metal building didn't include plumbing and heating, but those plans have been reconsidered and now it will have both.
The metal building will be converted into a storage facility once it is no longer needed as an extra housing space.
