Storm to Bring Rain & Snow to Southern Colorado

Hayman Fire Evacuations

Cooler temperatures and higher humidity helped firefighters on Thursday and Friday. As a result, some homeowners are being allowed to go back home. However, the weather is expected to heat up again for the weekend.

JEFFERSON COUNTY
The folowing areas are no longer under a mandatory evacuation, although they will remain on a standby status:

  • Buffalo Creek
  • Buffalo Creek Park
  • Christmas Hill
  • Cliffdale
  • Crossons
  • Crystal Lake
  • Dome Rock
  • Ferndale
  • Foxton
  • Indian Springs Village
  • Mountain Valley Acres
  • Pine
  • Pine Grove
  • Pine Valley North
  • Riverview
  • South Platte
  • Sphinx Lodge
  • Sphinx Park
  • Longview

    DOUGLAS COUNTY
    The following areas are no longer under a mandatory evacuation, although they will remain on a standby status:

  • West of Rampart Range Road
  • North of Sugar Creek Road
  • East of Platte River Road

    This includes the following subdivisions:

  • Moon Ridge
  • Sprucewood
  • Pine Creek Road
  • Night Hawk
  • Sugar Creek Road
  • Scraggy View

    The following areas are no longer on standby for a possible evacuation:

  • Sedalia
  • Indian Creek Ranch
  • Roxborough Park
  • Roxborough Village

    EL PASO COUNTY

    The mandatory evacuation notice has been lifted for the following area. However, residents must remain on standby in case the fire advances.

  • Homes along Rampart Range Road from the Douglas County line to Eagle Lake.

    The following areas remain under a standby notice for a possible evacuation:

  • West of I-25
  • South of Douglas County line
  • North of the Air Force Academy
  • East of Rampart Range Road

    This includes the following communities in the Tri-Lakes area:

  • Palmer Lake
  • Monument

    TELLER COUNTY

    The following areas remain on standby for a possible evacuation order:

  • Woodland Park
  • Homes north of Highway 24 between Woodland Park and Florissant

    The Red Cross Shelter has set up 5 shelters for evacuees. If you are evacuated, the Sheriff's office asks that you check in at a shelter so they can find out how to contact you.
