Cooler temperatures and higher humidity helped firefighters on Thursday and Friday. As a result, some homeowners are being allowed to go back home. However, the weather is expected to heat up again for the weekend.

JEFFERSON COUNTY
The folowing areas are no longer under a mandatory evacuation, although they will remain on a standby status:

The mandatory evacuation notice has been lifted for the following area. However, residents must remain on standby in case the fire advances.

The Red Cross Shelter has set up 5 shelters for evacuees. If you are evacuated, the Sheriff's office asks that you check in at a shelter so they can find out how to contact you.
