Springs police have made several arrests in connection with the stabbing of 16-year-old early Thursday morning.

Police say the victim was stabbed five times in the torso and neck with an unknown object. It happened just after midnight Thursday, near Stetson Hills and Powers Boulevard.

Authorities have 18-year-old Andrew Viar in custody, along with a 17-year-old boy arrested as an accessory to the crime.

Bail for Viar is set at $25,000 and police say the victim has undergone surgery and he's in stable condition.
