Locally heavy rain and snow will impact Southern Colorado through Friday afternoon and early evening. Heaviest snow will favor the mountains, Teller County, and El Paso County. This will lead to difficult travel conditions by Friday morning. Heavy snow will also occur in the higher terrain to the southwest of Pueblo. The storm will wind down later Friday evening. Tavern owner Brian Falsetto really doesn't care if his patrons defy the no smoking signs on the walls. Falsetto says he's just one of the bar owners, not the enforcers of these laws.
Tavern owners are joining residents in a movement to repeal an
ordinance that bans smoking in public places, including bars and
restaurants. Organizers believe owners have the right to run
businesses without government interference.
Campaigns are afoot to repeal similar laws in Tempe, Arizona,
and Las Cruces, New Mexico.
Americans for Nonsmokers' Rights in Berkley California says more
than 1,500 cities have similar restrictions.
