United Airlines Posts Worst Quarterly Loss In History

United Airlines' parent company is reporting the worst quarterly loss in history. UAL Corporation says it lost almost $1.5 billion in the three months that ended December 31st. The loss left UAL with a net loss of $3.2 billion for the year. That's much larger than the $2.1 billion loss it posted in 2001. UAL's net loss for the fourth quarter translates to $20.70 per share. That compares with a fourth-quarter 2001 loss $5.68 per share. The company has now had ten consecutive money-losing quarters. United is the dominant carrier in Colorado
